After my post, White Girl Detox, many brothas and sistas with a white dating preference went on the attack. “Whats wrong with who you love as long as you love them??”, they asked. “I thought we moved passed this after Loving v Virgina?!”, they cried. Dont all us Black folk here in America got a lil white in us?!”, they rationalized.
Sit back, because I am going to break down EXACTLY why interracial dating should be avoided by Black men and women.
The Psychological Dangers of Interracial Dating
Black men and women in the media and in the streets are actively promoting a preference for ANY woman BUT a Black woman. The media smacks of hatred for BOTH the Black man and woman, thus reinforcing thinking errors and self hatred.
When relationships rise out of mutual attraction and genuine emotional connection, or hell, even a desire to experiment then that’s cool in the game. But when Black men and women make statements like “Black is whack!” or prop up White men (or women) as arm candy, there is something very wrong.
But dont all races have interracial marriages??
Yes, but they are rare compared to Black+White relationships.
Some 22% of all black male newlyweds in 2008 married outside their race, compared with just 9% of black female newlyweds. Compare that to Asian marriages: 80% of all Asians are married to Asians, and 87% of all whites are married to whites or Asians. In 2007, 4.6% of all married Blacks in the United States were wed to a White partner, and 0.4% of all Whites were married to a Black partner.
Hispanic rates are even lower than these, depending on the sources used. (We used U.S. Census Statistics published in 2011)
Why such a difference in these rates?
The answer is the false belief and thinking error that by leaving your Black partner – or by eliminating a Black partner as an option – you are leaving behind the deep psychological problems of SELF-HATRED and a HATRED FOR ONES RACE. You minimize this fact by saying “I am an American and we live in a post racial society”, or by saying “Black women have too many problems”, “I cant find a Black man that’s on my level”, or “I want my kids to have ‘pretty hair’”. These minimizations simply reinforce deep, dark thinking errors.
The more you reinforce them, the stronger these deep, psychological thinking errors become.
The hardest thing in the world to do is to self-analyze. The second hardest thing to do is to correct negative or dangerous behavior in ones psychological background once they are identified. But correct them you must! If not, self-hatred and thinking errors will rule ones life from the shadows, as they have done so in the Black community since Emancipation and before.
There is nothing wrong with interracial dating UNLESS it is used to escape your issues. The only way to repair a problem is to repair it – not to run from it.
But there is more behind the scenes of the rise of interracial dating and the dangers of becoming a people without a racial identity (AND HERES WHERE THINGS GET DEEP)! To really understand the dangers of an interracial so-called democracy in the U.S., lets look at a country that has successfully cross-bred itself into a country without a race: Argentina
The Argentina Experiment
The nineteenth century founders of Argentina WANTED THE NATION TO BE A WHITE NATION. Various policies were built into law that aimed at eliminating ethnic minority populations, while simultaneously encouraging European (and later, Asian) immigration. The 1853 Constitution is still largely in force today, and the preference for European immigration remains explicit. During World War II, Nazis that fled Germany ended up in Argentina – the most well known of whom was Joseph Mengele, a man the Nazis called the Angel of Death. While Argentina’s White minority struggled with the problems of the “Indian” racial underclass, two strategies were developed:
1: Disenfranchise the population of the Original peoples of Argentina, rendering them politically and economically impotent, and
2: Breed them out of existence, setting up a racial buffer of mixed, or mestizo Argentinians, who didn’t identify themselves as white or “Indian”, but only claimed themselves Argentinian.
This strategy was disastrous for the original peoples of Argentina, but a success for the white elites. If you were to go to the country today, you will notice that the entire country is white. Racial discrimination persists against indigenous peoples and Afro-Argentines.
Argentina’s indigenous peoples now face struggles concerning fundamental issues of survival, maintenance of cultural and linguistic integrity, land rights and education (sound familiar). Furthermore, the small, impoverished, socially maligned population must fight for mere recognition. Recent estimates of the indigenous population in Argentina vary widely from 450,000 to 1.5 million, approximately one to four per cent of the total Argentine population of approximately 36 million.
Despite the constitutional recognition of indigenous people and formal protection of their rights to bilingual education, ownership of their ancestral lands, and guaranteed participation in resource management and development, in practice, indigenous peoples seldom participate in the management of their natural resources…these small groups dont have the numbers to effect any type of democratic change: they would simply be outvoted by the mestizo and white majority.
In addition, indigenous peoples face social ridicule; for example, idiomatic slang like “hablo como un indio ‘ (‘I’m speaking like an Indian”) is used when one does something considered stupid, thus reinforcing deprecatory views of indigenous peoples. This is akin to the Steppin Fetchits and Black faced jigaboos that dominated American media in the early 20th century, and the Big Mommas and Madeas that dominate the cinema today.
The end result of Argentina’s social experiment of a post racial democracy was the destruction of the Original people of Argentina.
Now back to America.
These conditions have been and are being created within us through social engineering.
The Argentinian strategy has long been at work here:
1: Disenfranchise the African-American population – rendering them politically and economically impotent (see: The New Jim Crow)
2: Breed them out of existence, setting up a racial buffer of mixed, or “light skinned” individuals who don’t identify themselves as white or Black, but only identify themselves as American.
In the end, whites will remain a market dominant minority – as they always have been (more on market dominant minorities later). They will be separated from the wants and needs of other ethnic groups by a large, mixed group of individuals, with no allegiance to any particular race and full allegiance to their nationality.
What then becomes of Black men and women? We are reduced into numbers so small that we have no political or social leverage. We become tomorrow what the native Americans are today – an irrelevant minority group so small and alienated that there will be no need to pay any attention to issues that affect us. In a so-called post racial society, there is no Black History month. There is no need to address racism (which will never go away!) There is no discussion of black HIV rates, Black political disenfranchisement, or the destruction of the Black family…quite simply because Blacks don’t exist!
Reviving Black Consciousness in a “Post-Racial” America
“Obama rejected the race and ethnicity of his loving white mother and grandparents in favor of “blackness” and is lionized for it. Hispanics and Arabs were willing to go to court to demand that they be called “white” regardless of looks and ancestry. Liberal whites who whine about racism will not stand up to the blacks (like Henry Louis Gates, Jr.) who demonize the late Anatole Broyard for “passing” for a white race that was his biological and cultural reality.” – A.D. Powell
The America of the future will see the destruction of the Black man, woman, and family unit within its walls. Dont doubt it, it is already happening. Marcus Garvey lamented :
When the Colonists of America desired possession of the land they saw that a weak aboriginal race was in their way. What did they do? They got hold of them, killed them, and buried them underground. This is a fair indication of what will happen to the weaker peoples of the world in another two or three hundred years when the stronger races will have developed themselves to the position of complete mastery of all things material. They will not then as they have not in the past, allow a weak and defenseless race to stand in their way, especially if in their doing so they will endanger their happiness, their comfort and their pleasures.
Not only is racism and “white privilege ” alive and well, it is just as nefarious and underhanded as it has always been. We cannot expect but for any other race with any common sense to do what is best for their people. We are the only ones who refuse to do what is best for us. However, if we are to steel ourselves against the indignity of poverty, the anguish of disenfranchisement, and the threat of extinction (see: War on the Black Womb and White Values on Verge of Causing Mass Extinction), we must revive Black consciousness, we must be ever vigilant, and we must think first of our people and the preservation of our culture. Therein lies the strength that we will need to weather the storm. Therein lies our true liberation.
The next hundred years will see either a powerful race of exemplary excellence and culture, or the demise of the Black man and woman into an isolated tribe of mongrels. The only prevention is a United Black America!
