“A politician is someone who gets in front of a mob and tries to call it a parade.” – Unknown
I am not a big fan of America’s first Black President lately. Its one thing to launch all these diversionary tactics in a half baked attempt to distract Americans from the real issues at hand, its another to hypocritically bail out big banks that only ended up failing anyway and hooking up your homeboys at our expense (do the knowledge on Solyndra), its even worse to seriously mess with peoples money – literally and figuratively…in a few years nickels wont even be made of nickel anymore. Most of the copper in pennies is severely diluted, and there’s not enough gold on the planet to justify the value of dollars we have in circulation.
But now youre trying to play politics with my emotions?!?!
You support the 99%???? Really???? Lets look at the policies and processes by which Obama has conducted his affairs while in office:
Before he even got into office, his top campaign contributors were Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and GE. Maybe he meant to say he’s fighting for those who have 99% of the wealth. Obama, himself, is now worth over $8 million. I believe that puts him in the 1% class. Obama is fronting. Obama has raised more money from Wall Street than anyone else IN HISTORY. He is bought and paid for. How is he going to fight against the very system that sustains him?
On top of that, Mr. Obama has appointed the very Wall Street insiders who helped cause the financial crisis to top posts. He has replaced his chief economic adviser – Larry Summers – with Gene Sperling.
Shahien Nasiripour notes:
Sperling … served as a consultant to Goldman Sachs, and in 2008 harvested sums reaching seven-figures for his work there and in
delivering speeches to the highest ranks of the financial services realm.
Economist Dean Baker and the liberal pundit Robert Kuttner [note that]:
a key item on Sperling’s resume is the nearly $900,000 he earned as a consultant for Goldman Sachs, at the very time the bank was
playing a leading role in the worst financial crisis since the Depression.
Obama – just like the other pimps in D.C. – has institutionalized fraud as his official party platform.
Black men and women should want our liberties restored, the governent out of our pockets, and an end to senseless wars against the indigenous peoples of the world. But Obama has implemented plans for war throughout the Middle East crafted by the Neoconservatives a decade (or more) ago, and gotten us into 7 small, quiet wars (like to one launched this past weekend in Africa. 100 troops were ordered into Uganda to hunt down some obscure heads of a right-wing political party there), and he has attacked our liberties even more than Bush and allowed the Fed to dramatically expand its powers.
Americans didn’t want bailouts, but Obama helped to facilitate trillions in direct and hidden bailouts. Americans wanted Public Option as our health care policy, but Obama folded to insurance companies and gave us the Frankenstein health care act we have today. Americans wanted to rein in the Fed, Obama fed it. Americans wanted to know that we are number one in the world, China and the rest of the world disagrees with good reason.
Obama doesn’t support the 99%. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Forget what you’ve been taught … the mainstream Democrats and mainstream Republicans are virtually identical on all core matters. Don’t fall for the old divide-and-conquer trick. Keep the movement hood.
