A Salute to Natural Black Hair

Last night on Twitter, @AsiaBrown (last pic in the gallery) asked the question, “what makes natural Black hair (afros, braids, twists, etc) unattractive on a woman?”

There are few things in the world more beautiful than an Original Woman rockin her Original Hair! This post is a deviation from my usual Black-power-lets-tear-some-shit-up posts so I can introduce some of you to the beauty of our Black women in their natural state. My ex girlfriend, Ayo (first two pictures) turned me on to how beautiful our Queens can be when they reject the white western concepts of beauty and do their natural thing!

BTW, THIS DEFINITELY WONT BE THE LAST OF THESE POSTS!

Nice. Needs to be more representations of the extremely kinky, cuz the one in the 4th row of the 2nd column is hardly enough… but it’s still progress.

As a Nazarite, I am there. I think there is nothing more beautiful than a sister relating to her culture from her head to her toe. For this reason and more, I love and respect Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC for rocking the locks..

I think that as soon as you de-colonialze your brain, and break out of the mental slavery, it will be natural that you love yourself, and became proud of your African roots.
    I am proud African!!!
